Last Updated: August 5, 2026
This version of the Privacy Policy takes effect on August 5, 2026. The advertising attribution and campaign measurement practices described in Sections 3(D), 6, and 9 of this Policy apply only to versions of the Timily app that include this functionality, and only after a user selects the Parent role. App versions that do not include this functionality neither initialize Adjust nor request App Tracking Transparency permission.
This Privacy Policy explains how Timily ("Timily," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Timily is designed as a parent-directed service. Parents or legal guardians use Timily to set rules and manage a family member's device experience.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Key Privacy Principles
- No advertising: Timily does not display third-party advertisements in the Services.
- No data selling: Timily does not sell personal information.
- No data broker sharing: Timily does not share personal information with data brokers.
- Purpose-limited use: Information is used only to provide, secure, and improve the Services and, for Parent users only, to understand how users discover Timily and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
- Parent-only advertising attribution: Advertising attribution is used only when a user selects the Parent role. When the Child role is selected, Timily does not initialize Adjust, request App Tracking Transparency permission, or collect or transmit advertising attribution data.
2. Who Uses Timily
Parents / Guardians ("Parents") create and manage accounts, configure rules, and control settings.
Family Device Users use a companion experience on devices configured and managed by the Parent.
Any information associated with a family device user is processed under the Parent's direction and solely for providing the Services.
Advertising attribution is not used in Child mode. When a user selects the Child role, Timily does not initialize Adjust, request App Tracking Transparency permission, or collect or transmit advertising identifiers, campaign attribution information, or advertising measurement events.
Target Audience & COPPA Compliance: Timily is a utility tool designed for use by Parents and legal guardians to manage their family's devices. It is not an entertainment app intended for use by children.
While our primary users are Parents, the Services involve the processing of data from devices used by children under 13. We conduct this collection solely to fulfill the Parent's request to manage that device. We rely on the Parent's subscription and configuration as verifiable parental consent to process this data solely for providing the Service.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information processed through device permissions or system frameworks you enable.
A. Information You Provide (Primarily Parents)
Account and profile information:
- Email address and basic account identifiers
- Authentication data (such as password hash or token-based authentication)
- Optional labels or nicknames assigned to devices or family members
Configuration data:
- Rules, schedules, limits, and settings created by Parents (for example, app limits, time windows, focus routines, and reward/task configuration)
Support communications:
- Information you provide when contacting support (such as messages, screenshots, or device details you choose to share)
B. Information Collected Automatically from Managed Devices
To enable the parental control features you have requested, we collect data from the devices you choose to manage ("Family Devices"). This collection occurs only after you, as the Parent, have installed the companion app and granted the necessary permissions. This includes:
- Device model, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP (generally city or region level), used for security and service operation
- Diagnostic and performance data (such as crash logs and error codes)
Usage and activity information - To operate Timily and synchronize features across Parent and family devices, we may process:
- Feature usage events (for example, rule changes, timer activity, or configuration updates)
- Rule status and enforcement signals (for example, whether a limit is active or a rule was triggered)
- App or category identifiers relevant to rules configured by the Parent
We aim to keep data collection proportionate and aligned with providing, securing, and improving the Services.
C. Subscription and Payment Information
Timily is a paid subscription service. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or another authorized platform.
We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. We typically receive limited information such as:
- Subscription status (active or expired)
- Transaction or receipt identifiers needed to verify entitlement
- Purchase dates and related metadata
D. Advertising Attribution and Campaign Measurement Information
Advertising attribution is used only in Parent mode. After a user selects the Parent role, Timily may initialize Adjust, a mobile measurement and attribution provider, to help us understand how Parent users discover Timily, attribute app installations and selected in-app events to marketing campaigns, prevent attribution fraud, and evaluate campaign performance.
Depending on your device settings, consent choices, and our technical configuration, the information processed for these purposes may include:
- Device model, operating system version, app version, language, and time zone
- IP address
- App installation, opening, and attribution information
- Marketing channel, campaign, ad group, and advertising creative information
- Limited Parent-mode events that we choose to send to Adjust, such as account registration, trial activation, subscription, or purchase events
- The Identifier for Advertisers ("IDFA"), only where the Parent user has granted permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework
When a user selects the Child role, Adjust is not initialized. Timily does not request App Tracking Transparency permission or collect or transmit advertising identifiers, advertising attribution information, or campaign measurement events from Child mode.
Timily does not provide Adjust with messages, photos, contacts, browsing content, or information obtained through Apple's Family Controls or Screen Time-related frameworks.
4. Apple Screen Time / Family Controls Disclosure
Timily uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time-related frameworks (when enabled) to provide core functionality such as managing access, applying limits, and supporting focus routines.
- No content access: Timily is not designed to read the contents of communications such as messages, emails, or social content.
- Purpose: These frameworks are used only to deliver parent-directed features requested and configured by the Parent.
- No advertising use: Data accessed through these frameworks is not sold and is not used for behavioral advertising.
- No attribution sharing: Information obtained through Apple's Family Controls or Screen Time-related frameworks is not shared with Adjust and is not used for advertising attribution or campaign measurement.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Services (account creation, syncing settings, enforcing rules, enabling features)
- Maintain safety and security (prevent fraud, detect abuse, protect account integrity)
- Troubleshoot and improve reliability (diagnostics, crash reports, performance monitoring)
- Provide customer support and respond to requests
- Manage subscriptions and verify access to paid features
- For Parent users only, understand how users discover Timily, attribute installations and selected Parent-mode events to marketing campaigns, prevent attribution fraud, and evaluate campaign performance
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms
Timily does not display third-party advertising within the Services and does not use information collected from Child mode or through Apple's Family Controls or Screen Time-related frameworks for behavioral advertising, advertising attribution, or campaign measurement.
6. How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary to operate the Services or comply with legal obligations.
Service Providers: We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services (such as cloud hosting, databases, crash reporting, or customer support tools). These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to use it only for providing services to Timily.
Advertising Attribution Provider: After a user selects the Parent role, we may share limited device, app, campaign, and Parent-mode event information with Adjust for mobile attribution, campaign measurement, fraud prevention, and related analytics. IDFA is made available only where the Parent user has granted permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Adjust is not initialized in Child mode, and no advertising attribution data is collected from or transmitted through Child mode.
Platform Providers: We exchange certain information with platform providers (such as Apple) as required to process subscriptions and validate entitlements.
Legal and Safety: We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to: comply with law or legal process; protect the rights, safety, or security of Timily, our users, or others; or prevent fraud or abuse.
Business Transfers: If Timily is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure continued protection of information.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
When you delete your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your Choices and Controls
Account settings: Parents may update certain account settings within the Services.
Account deletion: You can delete your account and associated data directly within the App settings at any time.
Device permissions: You can change device permissions and system settings at any time through your device.
App Tracking Transparency: On supported Apple devices, users who select the Parent role may be asked whether they permit Timily to track their activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising attribution and campaign measurement. You may deny this request or later change your choice through your device settings. If permission is denied, Timily and Adjust will not access the device's IDFA. Certain measurement may still occur through Apple-provided, aggregated, or privacy-preserving attribution methods.
Child mode: Timily does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, initialize Adjust, or collect or transmit advertising attribution data when the Child role is selected.
Notifications: You may control push notifications through device settings.
Management of Family Device Data: As the account holder, the Parent retains full control over the data collected from Family Devices. You may review, delete, or stop the collection of data from a Family Device at any time by removing that device from your account settings or by contacting support@timily.app.
10. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We may take reasonable steps to verify your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
Because Timily does not sell personal information, there is no "opt-out of sale" mechanism.
Do Not Track Signals: We do not currently respond to web browser "Do Not Track" signals or similar mechanisms, as there is no standardized industry convention.
11. For Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If you are located in the European Economic Area ("EEA") or the United Kingdom ("UK"), the following additional terms apply to your use of the Services, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the UK GDPR.
Data Controller
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:
Dangran World Limited
Email: support@timily.app
Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To provide the Services you have subscribed to, including account management, rule synchronization, and feature delivery.
- Parental consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 8 GDPR): For the processing of children's data. Parents provide verifiable consent by creating an account, subscribing to the Service, and actively configuring the managed device. This consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): For security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, service improvement, and limited campaign measurement that does not require consent, where such interests are not overridden by the data subject's rights.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Where required by applicable law, we rely on the Parent user's consent to access the IDFA or carry out advertising measurement that constitutes tracking. Consent may be withheld or withdrawn at any time through the device settings.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law.
Children's Data
Timily processes children's data solely under the direction and consent of the Parent. The Parent acts as the legal guardian and provides consent on behalf of the child. We do not collect data from children independently — all data collection occurs through the parent-configured managed device.
Parents may exercise all data rights on behalf of their children, including access, correction, deletion, and data portability. Parents may withdraw consent at any time by removing the managed device from their account or by contacting us.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the following rights regarding your personal data (and your child's data, as the Parent):
- Right of access (Art. 15): Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or your child.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16): Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion of personal data. Upon request, we will take reasonable steps to delete personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to technical and legal constraints.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20): Request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to restrict processing (Art. 18): Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@timily.app. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EEA/UK, including Hong Kong and the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. When we transfer data outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or your explicit consent where applicable.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Services.
When you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to remove your data from our systems, subject to technical and legal constraints.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date indicates when it was last revised. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the Services or on our website.
